Metered Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
Most data centers provide power source redundancy in order to ensure critical devices have no power related downtime. Many rackmount IT devices, however, are not designed to take advantage of power redundancy. Metered MD Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) are ideal for single-corded network devices and entry-level servers that are not designed with power redundancy. MD meter of the ATS provides a local 3-digit RMS current measurement with accuracy ± ( 3% of the reading + 5 last digits ) RMS. It helps avoid current overload in a high density equipment environment.

InfraPower® ATS offers a simple but reliable solution for automatically sensing power loss and seamlessly switching to a secondary power source. The power source transfer time is seamless to the connected equipment, making sure that the switching occurs safely between the two input power sources. After switching to a backup power source, it can also switch power back to the primary input after power has been restored.

MD meter provides a local 3-digit RMS current measurement with accuracy ± ( 3% of the reading + 5 last digits ) RMS. It helps avoid current overload in a high density equipment environment. A Blue LED indicator allows easy local reading of current, especially when there is no lighting installed inside the rack as is typical in a data center environment.

Redundant Power
Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) provide fail-safe power redundancy. A rack ATS has dual input power cords supplying power to the connected load. If the primary power source becomes unavailable, the rack ATS will seamlessly source power from the secondary source without interrupting critical loads.
